Ian Day has had a highly successful career in academic medicine, but has recently found himself with family commitments incompatible with the typical 60-80 hour weeks of this demanding profession.
In just 18 months he has built a portfolio of multilets (HMOs) which comfortably surpass his income from employment, but only take 2 hours per week to run.
Beyond that, the sky is the limit, with the opportunity to expand first class property business and services, with high returns per unit time, much more flexibility and control over one’s time, the opportunity to leave a much greater legacy; and (unlike employment), ownership of a business income stream sustainable in perpetuity. It also increases the scope in time and finance for charitable activity.
In his talk, Ian will share diverse elements of this experience and illustrate that adaptability and mindset (and system) are central to this kind of achievement, whether for reasons of finance or time. His blueprint could be followed by many homeowners with the motivation.
(P.S. And almost all young professional tenants are great clients).
