“The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin.”
Mark Twain
We are delighted to welcome Dr Paul Hutchinson (Hutchinson Legal & Associates) and James Weaver (Slimbridge Estate Planning Ltd) for this session at our February PIM.
Paul and James are part of a team which currently has more than 50 active cases ongoing, and who specialize in helping property developers and landlords to structure and/or restructure their business so as to optimise tax efficiency. The clients they have helped to date have been able to reduce their tax liability by many millions of pounds and to transform their businesses into more stable and efficient enterprises.
The objective of their talk is to give delegates a different way to look at their own businesses, and to learn some practical strategies that will highlight future pain points and plan so that these can be eliminated.
Delegates will also learn how they can protect their personal estates/assets from Inheritance Tax and other third party claims, such as contested Wills, Bankruptcy and potential care fees. We will also look at the need for setting up Lasting Powers of Attorney for Property & Financial Affairs and for Health & Welfare.
This session will be entertaining and will educate delegates on how they can keep, enjoy and protect the money they have been able to make through property development – and to ensure it can be passed to their families and/or other chosen beneficiaries in a simple, tax efficient and safe way.
So do join us at our next PIM to learn more – at Future Inn, Bristol on Monday, 18 February.
We look forward to seeing you.
