Property Lending in 2014: Understanding the Market
This month’s PIM focusses on lending in the current market.
We are fortunate to have 2 excellent speakers from a leading local bank, well able to give us an inside view of what lenders are able to offer – and how best to approach them to obtain loan funding for your property investment projects.
Daniel Taylor is a manager with Lloyds Bank, base here at Lloyds’ headquarters, in Bristol.
He’s responsible for Property businesses in Bristol & Somerset and his talk will cover lending in the current property market, highlighting the approach of the lenders.
In particular he’ll be covering:
- Credit appetite for property,
- Credit policy
- How best to approach a deal with a lender
Rhys Herbert is an economist with Lloyds Bank – based in their London office.
He will be talking about the economy and interest rates – it will be particularly interesting to hear his expert view on these vital topics. (This is a change from the original speaker, Janaka Pieris).
We’re really looking forward to hearing Daniel and Rhys’s insights into current lending criteria and their perspective on the economy and the property market.
Samantha Evans – Real Life Story – Rent to Rent
Samantha Evans will also be sharing her story. Over the past 2 years she has built her rent to rent portfolio, starting from scratch as a complete beginner and while working full time as a nurse, with support from Property Options.
She’ll be revealing how she approached it, the challenges and pitfalls and how she overcame them – and what parts were easy!
Sam’s is a real life, ongoing, story – with ups and downs. She’s a hard working nurse, not a professional investor and she’s simply coming to share her experiences. If you’ve not yet started investing, you’ll find her talk really helpful.
Make sure you join us on 30 October 2014 at Holiday Inn, Bristol City Centre, BS1 3LE 6-9 pm – it will be a fascinating evening!
