April PIM – Simon Jackson – Landlord Tax Update – Changes That Will Affect You – Budget 2016

Written April 4, 2016 By Property Options Leave a Comment

We are very pleased to welcome tax specialist Simon Jackson from Elite Financial Accounting to our April PIM.

Simon JacksonSimon is a Chartered Accountant and Director of Elite Financial Accounting Ltd. He specialises in property tax for landlords and developers in the residential property sector.

He has helped hundreds of clients to reorganise their property portfolios in a tax efficient manner, allowing them to grow and prosper in the economic climate.

Simon is also a landlord and has a small HMO portfolio. Therefore he is able to advise from the Landlord’s perspective, something that many of his clients appreciate greatly.

Simon has particular expertise in:

1 – Reorganising HMO and rental portfolios for tax efficiency

2 – Accountancy services for developers and investors undergoing large scale commercial to residential conversions

3 – Advising on JV ventures, new build and capital allowance claims

Whether his clients are starting up in property or experienced investors, Simon is always available to advise and guide them on the taxation aspects of their property journey.

In his presentation, Simon will be covering tax issues. Landlords face a number of changes to their tax position over the next few years following announcements in the 2015 summer budget. Many want to learn:

1 – What are the changes?

2 –  How it will affect them?

3 – What they can do to avoid an excessive tax bill as a result?

In this seminar, Simon will be tackling the recent budget and explaining the key changes to the taxation of Landlords. He will also present the tax planning strategies his clients have used to help avoid any excessive tax bill in light of these changes.

This is a very important topic, especially with so many changes just at the moment and we know there will be a lot of interest in Simon’s talk which follows on from the session at our January PIM, with Stephen Griffiths, which also attracted lots of interest and a lively debate.

So make sure you join us on 28 April 2016 at Holiday Inn, Bristol City Centre, 6-9 pm
