Buy To Let – Focus on North Bristol

North Bristol Is A Popular Area For Tenants, so it’s an excellent area to target for buy to let property investors.

Buy to Let InvestmentsHere are just some of the highlights in this area for tenants:

The North Bristol area is divided between the local authorities of Bristol City and South Gloucestershire.

It consists of several distinctive sub districts offering a wide range of housing, employment opportunities and leisure facilities.

The area as a whole is well served by transport facilities. The M4/M5 interchange provides rapid access to London and the South West while access to the city centre is via the M32.

The A4174 ring road provides access to Bath and Keynsham. Parkway Station in on the mainline from London to Cardiff and there are local stations at Patchway and Abbey Wood. Bristol airport can be reached in 40 – 45 minutes by car or bus.

North Bristol is a nationally important centre for the aerospace industry. The major aerospace employers are Rolls Royce, BAE Systems and Airbus UK, these are all located close to Filton Airfield. A museum dedicated to the history of the aviation in Bristol and featuring the Concorde supersonic jet airliner is set to open in 2017

The nearby Aztec West business park is a major employment area in North Bristol with over 7000 employees on site. The major companies are General Electric, Liverpool Victoria, HSBC, Atkins, Aardman, Nvidia, Broadcom, Mark Hadfield Selection, Allianz, Hoare Lea, Co-operative Legal Services and CGI.

The Ministry of Defence is another major employer, the procurement agency of the ministry is located at Abbey Wood.

Sports fans will be pleased to know that there are first class attractions on offer. North Bristol is the home of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, Bristol Rugby Club and Bristol Rovers Football Club. Modern sports facilities including a swimming pool are available at Horfield Sports Centre.

North Bristol benefits from the development of large new housing schemes at Bradley Stoke where some of the original woodlands have been conserved and more recently at Charlton Hayes in the Patchway district where 6000 new homes will be built. Attractive older housing stock is available in the districts of Bishopston, Filton, Horfield and Ashley Down.

Excellent modern shopping is available at the nearby Cribbs Causeway retail park and a great variety of local shops and restaurants can be found on Gloucester Road, an increasingly important leisure time destination.

North Bristol is home to the prestigious and fast growing University of West of England and there are also two excellent colleges of further education at Filton and Ashley Down.

In summary North Bristol offers great opportunities for well paid employment, high quality further and higher education and a wide choice of housing. It’s therefore a popular area for tenants and consequently an excellent location for buy to let investors to target.

If you are from outside the area and looking for the right areas to invest in and you’re not familiar with North Bristol it’s well worth looking at.
