January PIM – Deals in 28 Days Start To Finish

Written January 28, 2013 By Property Options Leave a Comment

Our first PIM of 2013 was a brilliant evening and headline speaker Mark I’Anson was an excellent and entertaining speaker.

January PIMHis presentation focussed on lead generation and gave everyone food for thought.

His marketing skills and advice were much in evidence and appreciated by the audience as he explained his approach to “On Patch” Marketing.

Mark started off emphasising the need to define your target area clearly and then dominate that area with your marketing, in order to capture the best leads.

Fundamental to Mark’s approach is a true understanding of core marketing principles – and he certainly demonstrated that he “walks the talk”.  His lead gen marketing activities include:

  • Teams of people wearing brightly coloured T and sweat shirts
  • Teams wearing Body Boards
  • Walking through city centres
  • Pitches at local events, using pop-up tents
  • All in bright colours, eg yellow and orange
  • And with appropriate eye-catching messages

It’s all about standing out and making a statement. Of course, walking through city centres, train stations and outside football matches dressed like this takes some bottle! Well, as Mark said, “It’s not Easy, But It Is Worth It” – if you are determined enough do this, you will succeed.

Mark also explained how important it is to have good leaflets to distribute at these events – with a strong Call To Action.

AIDA Adverts

Mark also revealed exactly how he uses AIDA in his marketing and advertising. AIDA stands for

  • Attention
  • Interest
  • Desire
  • Action

Mark ran through numerous examples of attention grabbing headlines, which have given him great results – and gave some very useful tips for ads, eg using borders to frame you ad, just like a photo. He also talked through sales scripts for lead gen call answering – and then went on to discuss how he closes deals when he visits propective vendors, with a low key, reassuring approach.

All in all this was a fascinating talk, with a lot of detail – everyone picked up all sorts of useful tips.

So, our thanks to Mark – and we can’t wait for the next PIM on 28 February 2013.
